If you've never raced before and want to give it a try, contact the Tech Director a few days before an event, to discuss what you can do to prepare for Tech Inspection on the day of an event.

Below are a few tips to get you started.

  • Battery must be properly mounted (wire and plastic tie straps are not allowed).
  • A radiator overflow tank (coolant catch can) is mandatory.
  • Seat belts must be fully functional.
  • Vehicle must not have any fluid leaks.
  • Hubcaps must be removed.
  • Tires must be in good condition.
  • A full set of lug-nuts are required on all wheels and wheel studs must not be broken.
  • Avoid using rubber fuel lines, or use them sparingly. To pass Tech, you may only have a maximum of 12" of rubber line in your fuel system.
  • Every participant must wear a helmet rated SNELL 90 or higher.

Please also pick up the Driver Safety handout, available at the track.
