If you've
never raced before and want to give it a try,
contact the Tech Director a few days before
an event, to discuss what you can do to prepare
for Tech Inspection on the day of an event.
Below
are a few tips to get you started.
Battery
must be properly mounted (wire and
plastic tie straps are not allowed).
A radiator overflow tank (coolant catch can)
is mandatory.
Seat belts must be fully functional.
Vehicle must not have any fluid leaks.
Hubcaps must be removed.
Tires must be in good condition.
A full set of lug-nuts are required on
all wheels and wheel studs must not be broken.
Avoid
using rubber fuel lines, or use them sparingly.
To pass Tech, you may only
have a maximum of 12" of rubber
line in your fuel system.
Every
participant must wear a helmet rated SNELL
90 or higher.
Please also pick up the Driver Safety handout,
available at the track.
