If you are involved in an accident, either hitting the
guardrail or another vehicle, stay calm. Come to a safe
stop and pull off to the side of the track. DO NOT EXIT
YOUR VEHICLE. The only time you should exit your vehicle
is if there is a fire. Exiting your vehicle is unsafe,
the other race car may be heading toward you. Unless
there is a fire, the safest place to be is in your vehicle.
WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE
If for any reason a fire should break out in or on your
vehicle, be calm, come to a safe stop and exit the vehicle
as quickly as possible and move away from your vehicle.
Do not try to put out the fire! The fire officials will
be down to assist you shortly, your safety is much more
important than your car.
WHAT
TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A BREAK-DOWN/FLUID SPILL
If your car breaks on the track or you suspect you have
spilled fluids on the track, come to a safe stop and pull
of to the side of the track. Stay in your vehicle until
an official meets you. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY PIT CREW MEMBERS GO
DOWN-TRACK TO ASSIST A DISABLED VEHICLE!!! (DRAG
officals will tow the vehicle back to the pit area.) |
